DaBaby was born in Cleveland and his parents moved to North Carolina when he was 8 years old. He was raised here and studied at Vance High School. The school is known as Julius K. Chambers High School today. He graduated from high school in 2010 and then he enrolled in the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He studied at this university for two years but later he dropped out of school.
