His real name is Raul Alejandro Ocasio Ruiz, and he was born on January 10, 1993. Besides reggaeton, he also produces music in Latin R&B. Most people know him as the King of Modern Reggaeton. Rauw Alejandro was born in San Juan, and he spent his childhood years in Canovanas and his teen years in Carolina. Both of his parents were musicians. His mother was a backing vocalist, and his father was a guitarist. In his childhood, he listened to Elvis Presley, Chris Brown, and Michael Jackson a lot. His father and he spent most of their time in the United States, where he listened to dancehall and R&B genres a lot. During his education years, he was interested in dancing, and thus, he attended different talent shows. After he graduated from high school, he went to the University of Puerto Rico. Moreover, he was interested in soccer as well. He played soccer between the ages of 6 and 20. However, due to his injury when he was 20 years old, he had to quit playing it. Later, he decided to move to Florida, where he decided to be an artist. In 2014, he started to upload his music to SoundCloud and 2 years later, he released his debut mixtape called Punto de Equilibrio.
