Grace Helbig was born on September 27, 1985 in New Jersey, USA, to John and Theresa’s daughter. He has an older brother named John and a brother named Tim. He attended Gateway District High School in New Jersey. He was involved in athletics in high school and won a medal in pole vault. In 2003, Mahwah started studying at Ramapo College in New Jersey and graduated summa cum laude with Ramapo’s Bachelor’s degree in Digital Filmmaking from the School of Contemporary Arts. There he formed a sketch comedy group called Baked Goods with his best friend Michelle Akin. He took improvisation lessons at the Peoples Improv Theater in New York. She participated in the Miss New Jersey USA beauty pageant in 2005 and reached the semi-finals.
In 2009, Helbig played the character of Barbie in Care Bears on Fire’s “Barbie Eat a Sandwich” video. During the opening of the IAWTV Awards in 2012, Helbig met with Fine Brothers. The duo had to choose someone to play the Idol role for the new web drama MyMusic, and they offered him the role during their meeting. Helbig flew to Los Angeles the following week to film the first season. Helbig later appeared in the first seven episodes of the second season of the series.
