Jutta Leerdam was born on December 30, 1998 in the Netherlands. Leerdam became world champion in the 2017 World Junior Speed Skating Championship in Helsinki. The following year, he won second place at the 2018 World Junior Speed Skating Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah, after his citizen Joy Beune. In the 2017-2018 season, he won the ISU Junior World Cup Speed Skating competition in 1000m and 1500m events. He also became the Dutch youth sprint champion. He became professional in 2018 and became a member of the IKO Team. In a relationship with skater Koen Verweij. He also studies Commercial Economics at Hanze University in Groningen.
